Mental Health Primary Therapist

Position Summary:
The Mental Health Primary Therapist at WE LEVEL UP is responsible for providing comprehensive therapeutic services to individuals experiencing mental health challenges. This role involves assessing clients' mental health needs, developing personalized treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based therapy to support clients in achieving their mental health goals.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental health status and needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on client assessments.
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
  • Monitor and document clients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
  • Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions and available treatments.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
  • Advocate for clients' needs within the organization and in the community.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of therapeutic programs and services at WE LEVEL UP.

Required Education:

  • Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution.


Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a mental health setting, providing therapeutic services to individuals with diverse mental health needs.
  • Proven track record of working effectively with clients dealing with a range of psychiatric disorders, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, and substance abuse.
  • Experience in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans and therapeutic interventions.


Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients and their families.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and maintain accurate and timely documentation.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health records and other relevant software for documentation and communication.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with advancements in the field of mental health therapy.
