The Mental Health Professional III facilitates high quality, patient-centered care by providing psychiatric services to patients and their families. The Mental Health Professional III performs psychiatric assessments and coordinates treatment/discharge plans for patients in the emergency department and telehealth settings. This role performs first evaluations for involuntary commitment and makes level-of-care determinations to facilitate transfer and safe discharge.

The Mental Health Professional III role will deliver exceptional psychiatric treatment to patients and their loved ones. The position prioritizes the satisfaction of their patients by offering patient-centered and high-quality care. The responsibilities include evaluations, psycho-education, group activities, planning for treatment, mapping out discharge, and providing therapeutic counseling help. They work to produce positive outcomes for their patients by using verified techniques in one-on-one, family, and group counseling sessions.
