Mental Health Therapist – IOP & PHP Programs

Overview
417 Recovery is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and motivated Mental Health Therapist to join our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) team. In this role, you will provide structured, evidence-based mental health treatment to adolescents experiencing mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma-related conditions, and co-occurring mental health challenges.
Our evening schedule allows us to support clients who require flexible treatment options while maintaining work, school, or family commitments. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive therapeutic services, ensuring clients receive individualized treatment that supports stabilization, emotional regulation, and overall wellness.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and diagnostic evaluations using DSM-5 and ICD-10 criteria to develop individualized treatment plans.
- Facilitate daily group therapy sessions within IOP and PHP levels of care using evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), trauma-informed care, and mindfulness-based interventions.
- Provide individual and family therapy sessions to address treatment goals, improve communication, and support long-term recovery.
- Implement crisis intervention and risk assessment procedures to ensure client safety and stabilization when needed.
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in compliance with HIPAA and program standards, including treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, case managers, and support staff to coordinate care and monitor client progress.
- Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and treatment planning reviews.
- Support discharge planning and continuity of care through referrals and aftercare coordination.
- Contribute to program development and quality improvement initiatives to enhance client outcomes.
Skills & Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or related field (LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, or Associate-level clinicians encouraged to apply).
- Experience providing therapy in IOP, PHP, outpatient, or behavioral health settings preferred.
- Strong knowledge of DSM-5 diagnoses and ICD-10 documentation standards.
- Demonstrated experience facilitating group therapy in structured treatment settings.
- Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic approaches including CBT, DBT, trauma-informed therapy, and behavioral interventions.
- Skilled in crisis intervention, safety planning, and de-escalation techniques.
- Strong clinical documentation skills and understanding of HIPAA compliance.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced structured treatment program with evening hours.
Pay: $35.00 - $38.00 per hour
