Mental Health Therapist

Reclaim Counseling & Wellness is an outpatient behavioral health practice with six offices in North Carolina- Charlotte, Burlington, Wilmington, Hampstead, Raleigh and Wake Forest. We also offer telehealth services throughout North and South Carolina. Our team of clinicians has specialized training to treat a wide range of mental health disorders for children as young as three, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. We are seeking an experienced (2+ years minimum) and compassionate mental health therapist to join our Charlotte office which is located in SouthPark. Candidates must be licensed in North Carolina; accepted licenses include LCMHC, LCMHCS, LCMHCA, LCSW, LCSWA, LMFT or LMFTA. Our therapists see 20-25 clients per week on average. As a therapist, you will be paid on a percentage basis per client seen as this is a contract therapist role.

Therapist Job Responsibilities:

· Establish positive, trusting rapport with clients

· Diagnose and treat mental health disorders

· Create individualized treatment plans according to clients’ needs and circumstances

· Meet with clients regularly to provide counseling, treatment and adjust treatment plans as necessary

· Conduct ongoing assessments of client progress and maintain thorough records

· Involve and advise family members when appropriate

· Refer clients to outside specialists or agencies when necessary

· Follow all safety protocols and maintain client confidentiality

· Contribute to the practice by accomplishing related tasks as needed

Therapist Qualifications/Skills:

· Strong interpersonal skills

· Excellent communication and listening skills

· Ability to build rapport quickly

· Detail oriented

· Ability to communicate with compassion and empathy

· Strong ability to manage time and prioritize tasks

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

· Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related field

· Current with all state licensing requirements

· 2+ years of experience in mental health services working (in addition to internships)
