Mental Health Therapist

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced licensed therapist to join our mental health team! The successful candidate will specialize in applying and integrating various therapeutic modalities, including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), & others. Our ideal candidate is committed to helping individuals, couples, and groups navigate their mental health challenges, improve their relationships, and enhance their overall quality of life.

At Contemporary CBT, we focus on evidence-based treatments, like CBT, to help individuals evaluate their relationship to their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors so that they can develop the awareness, flexibility, and resilience required to live in alignment with their values. We are a growing private practice with offices in the city and suburbs, looking for sharp, curious, and passionate clinicians to join our team.

About the job:

We're looking for licensed clinicians interested in working in a private practice setting, and engaging in a hybrid model of treatment (virtual and in-person). We have two offices in the greater Chicago area.

Clinicians will have access to specific training and supervision, (including a generous training stipend to be used to facilitate professional growth in areas of interest), weekly small group supervision, and monthly larger group supervision.

Clinicians will receive highly competitive payment commensurate with experience along with retirement and healthcare benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Develop personalized treatment plans that utilize appropriate therapeutic techniques
  • Provide skillful and ethical mental health therapy
  • Apply suitable therapeutic modalities based on individual client needs and objectives
  • Participate in group supervision sessions
  • Maintain up-to-date, confidential client records and notes
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to client care.
  • Acknowledge and respond to relevant emails and communication
  • Maintain licensure and credentials

Skills/Interests

  • Seeking individuals curious about expanding their understanding of human suffering and its antidote
  • Looking for someone passionate about their practice, driven toward personal growth, and able to quickly build rapport with clients.
  • Must have a Doctoral or Masters degree in psychology, social work or a related counseling field
  • Must be currently licensed by the State of Illinois as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), a Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) or a Clinical Psychologist
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in a clinical setting.
  • Extensive experience in a range of therapeutic modalities such as CBT, ACT, ERP, CPT, IPP, DBT, MI, BA, HRT, CBT-I, among others.
  • Ability to work with diverse populations and age groups, including children
  • Knowledge of ethical and legal standards in therapeutic practice.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
