Job Title: Mental Health & Wellness (MHW) Assistant

Job Summary:
The MHW Assistant will support the Mental Health & Wellness team in promoting emotional wellbeing, supporting students/beneficiaries, assisting in basic counseling activities under supervision, and maintaining documentation of cases and interventions. The role focuses on early identification of behavioral or emotional concerns and coordination with relevant staff.
Key Responsibilities: Student/Beneficiary Support:
- Assist in identifying students with emotional, behavioral, or social challenges
- Support in providing basic emotional support under supervision
- Maintain a safe, empathetic, and non-judgmental environment
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain daily/weekly case notes and activity logs
- Assist in preparing reports on observed cases and interventions
- Ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
Coordination:
- Work closely with teachers, facilitators, and MHW lead
- Refer cases to senior counselor/psychologist when required
- Participate in team meetings and case discussions
Program Support:
- Assist in planning and conducting awareness sessions (mental health, wellbeing, behavior management)
- Support workshops, group activities, and school-based interventions
- Help in implementing wellness initiatives across programs
Observation & Monitoring:
- Observe behavioral patterns in classroom and group settings
- Flag concerns to senior staff in a timely manner
- Assist in follow-up tracking of identified cases
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology / Social Work / Behavioral Sciences / Education (preferred)
- Fresh graduates or 1–2 years of relevant experience may apply

- Good communication (spoken & written)
- Ability to handle sensitive situations professionally
- Teamwork and coordination skills
- Basic understanding of child/adolescent behavior (preferred)
- Confidentiality and ethical responsibility
Preferred Attributes:
- Interest in mental health, education, and community work
- Training/certification in counseling or psychology (plus point)
- Experience in school or NGO environment (preferred)
