Position Summary:

The Mental Health Worker provides care to patients in a manger that promotes safety, comfort, and the therapeutic environment. Assists patients with activities; attends to the patient behavioral problems and provides assistance in crisis intervention, as needed. A Mental Health Worker should be compassionate and very patient. Must be even-tempered, can solve crisis and work as a team member.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Facilitate groups and activities as scheduled
• Provides crisis intervention/assistance as needed
• Completes documentation requirements
• Observe and communicate any changes of condition or behavior to the appropriate charge nurse and nursing supervisor
• Provide 1:1 counseling sessions with residents as behavioral needs require
• Assists with monitoring floor/hallways, and 1:1 monitoring as needed
• Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

• At least one year of previous work with mental health experience is desired
• High school diploma or GED
• Bachelor's degree in psychology or related field preferred

Salary: $24.00/hr*

• The salary range is the one that Hollywood Premier Healthcare Center reasonably expects to pay for this position. The actual salary will depend on several factors (e.g., experience, educations, qualifications, etc.).
