MEP ASSISTANT (HELPER)

The Facility Management Helper plays a crucial role in supporting the overall functioning of a facility by assisting in various maintenance and operational tasks. This entry-level position involves hands-on work and collaboration with other facility management team members to ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment.

• Assist in routine maintenance tasks, including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, and HVAC system repairs.

• Participate in painting, carpentry, and other general maintenance activities as directed.

• Perform cleaning duties to maintain the cleanliness of the area where the maintenance is performed.

• Empty trash receptacles and ensure waste disposal is carried out in accordance with protocols.

• Ensure the workspaces are free of debris and maintain an aesthetically pleasing environment.

• Assist in maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies, tools, and other facility-related materials.

• Notify the supervisor when supplies need to be replenished.

• Report any safety hazards, security concerns, or maintenance issues promptly to the supervisor.

• Follow established safety protocols and guidelines during all tasks.

• Assist skilled technicians or maintenance personnel in more complex repairs or installations.

• Learn and develop skills through on-the-job training.

• Work collaboratively with other facility management team members to achieve collective goals.

• Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.

• Provide assistance and support to building occupants or visitors as needed.

• Maintain a positive and helpful attitude when interacting with others.
