Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced MEP Design Engineer with a strong background in engineering consultancy projects in Dubai. The candidate will be responsible for the design, coordination, and authority submission of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems for G+4 / G+5 buildings, ensuring compliance with UAE codes, standards, and project requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities

MEP Design & Engineering

• Prepare MEP design calculations and layouts for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting systems.
• Develop concept, preliminary, and detailed MEP designs for G+4 / G+5 building projects.
• Ensure designs comply with DM, DEWA, DCD, and relevant UAE standards and codes.

Drawings & Documentation

• Prepare and review MEP design drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Coordinate with drafting teams to ensure accurate and coordinated drawings.
• Review contractor shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements.

Coordination & Authority Approvals

• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other disciplines to avoid clashes.
• Prepare and submit MEP documents for authority approvals and address comments.
• Attend technical and coordination meetings with clients and authorities as required.

Site Support & Quality

• Provide technical support during construction and resolve site-related MEP issues.
• Ensure compliance with approved designs and consultancy QA/QC standards.
• Assist in value engineering proposals without compromising system performance or safety.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering (or relevant MEP discipline).
• Minimum 3 years of UAE experience with an Engineering Consultancy.
• Proven experience in MEP design for G+4 / G+5 buildings.
• Strong knowledge of UAE codes and authority approval processes.
• Proficient in MEP design software and AutoCAD.
• Good coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
