MEP Draftsman

1. Preparing Technical Drawings

• Create accurate and detailed technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or models using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software.
• Revise and update drawings based on engineering or architectural changes.

2. Collaborating with Engineers and Architects

• Interpret and translate concepts, designs, and rough sketches into technical plans.
• Work closely with engineers, architects, and designers to ensure the feasibility of plans.

3. Reviewing and Analyzing Design Specifications

• Analyze sketches, notes, and other input materials to determine the best approach to complete drawings.
• Ensure that designs comply with industry standards, building codes, and safety regulations.

4. Maintaining Documentation and Records

• Organize and maintain a library of project drawings and documentation.
• Ensure all drawings are stored securely and are easy to retrieve when needed.

5. Making Revisions and Corrections

• Make revisions to plans and drawings based on feedback or required design changes.
• Correct any errors or inconsistencies in existing designs.

6. Conducting Site Visits (if required)

• Visit construction or manufacturing sites to gather information and ensure drawings are being accurately followed.
• Take measurements and ensure real-world application matches the design.

7. Assisting in Cost Estimation and Material Lists

• Help in the preparation of material take-offs and cost estimates based on drawings.
• Collaborate with procurement or construction teams as needed.

8. Keeping Up with Industry Tools and Standards

• Stay updated on the latest CAD software and drafting techniques.
• Follow best practices and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company standards.
