MEP Draftsman

Job Description:
The MEP Draftsman is responsible for preparing detailed technical drawings and layouts for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems in coordination with architects and engineers. The role ensures design accuracy, compliance with project specifications, and effective coordination among different disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings for MEP systems.
• Draft HVAC, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, and electrical layouts as per project requirements.
• Review and interpret MEP design drawings, specifications, and calculations provided by consultants/engineers.
• Coordinate MEP drawings with architectural, structural, and civil drawings to avoid clashes.
• Update drawings based on site conditions, consultant comments, and design changes.
• Maintain proper documentation and drawing records for project submission.
• Assist engineers in preparing material take-offs, quantity estimates, and schematic diagrams.
• Collaborate with site teams to provide technical support during construction.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of drafting experience in MEP projects (buildings/infrastructure).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit (MEP), and other drafting software.
• Knowledge of MEP systems, standards, and coordination practices.
• Strong attention to detail with good communication and teamwork skills.
