MEP Draftsman

Job description:

* Prepare and develop detailed MEP shop drawings (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Drainage, and Fire Fighting systems) as per project standards.

Qualifications and Skills:

* Diploma or ITI in Mechanical / Electrical / Civil Engineering or related field.

* Minimum 3–5 years of experience as an MEP Draftsman in construction or contracting companies.

* Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and other relevant drafting software.

* Strong knowledge of MEP systems, layouts, and coordination requirements.

* Familiar with UAE construction codes and standards (preferred).

* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

* Good communication and teamwork skills.

* Coordinate with architects, structural, and civil engineers to avoid clashes and ensure integrated drawings.

* Review design drawings and identify discrepancies, technical issues, or conflicts.

* Prepare as-built drawings based on site conditions and final installation.

* Ensure all drawings comply with relevant codes, standards, and client specifications.

* Maintain and update drawing registers, file records, and revisions.

* Work closely with project engineers and site teams for technical support and drawing clarification.

* Prepare drawings using AutoCAD/Revit or other drafting software as per company standards.

* Assist in material take-offs and quantity estimation from drawings.

* Attend coordination meetings when required to resolve design and drawing issues.
