MEP Draftsman

Full job description

We are looking for an experienced MEP Draftsman to join our construction/fit-out team. The candidate must have strong knowledge of MEP shop drawings, as-built drawings, and coordination drawings in compliance with UAE authority standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare MEP shop drawings (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) as per approved design and site conditions
• Develop as-built drawings after project completion
• Coordinate MEP drawings with architectural and structural drawings
• Modify drawings based on authority comments (DM, DCD, DEWA, DDA, Trakhees, etc.)
• Assist engineers with BOQ take-off and technical submissions
• Ensure drawings comply with local codes, standards, and project specifications
• Maintain proper drawing revisions and documentation

Requirements:

• Diploma/Engineering in Mechanical/Electrical or related field
• Minimum 2 to 3 years UAE experience as an MEP Draftsman
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD (Revit knowledge is an advantage)
• Experience in shop drawings and coordination drawings
• Familiar with UAE authorities' approval process
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Skills:

• AutoCAD (Mandatory)
• Basic knowledge of Revit (Preferred)
• Understanding of MEP systems (HVAC, Plumbing, Drainage, Fire Fighting, Electrical)
• Good communication and coordination skills
