MEP Electrical Engineer

.1 Electrical System Design

• Design LV power distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, and earthing systems
• Develop single‑line diagrams (SLDs), load schedules, and panel board schedules
• Design ELV systems: CCTV, access control, data, BMS, public address
• Ensure compliance with UAE codes, DEWA/SEWA/FEWA regulations, and international standards
• Integrate energy‑efficient and sustainable solutions (LED, smart controls)

2. Coordination & Documentation

• Coordinate electrical layouts with mechanical, plumbing, and architectural teams
• Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements
• Prepare BOQs, technical specifications, and tender documents
• Conduct value engineering to optimize cost and performance

3. Site Supervision

• Monitor installation of electrical systems to ensure compliance with approved drawings
• Conduct inspections, testing, and commissioning of electrical equipment
• Troubleshoot site issues and provide technical solutions
• Ensure safety standards and QA/QC procedures are followed

4. Compliance & Safety

• Ensure systems meet NFPA, IEC, and local authority requirements
• Verify fire alarm integration with civil defense requirements
• Ensure proper grounding, lightning protection, and electrical safety measures

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of LV systems, ELV systems, and electrical safety
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Dialux/Relux, ETAP (advantage)
• Understanding of load calculations, voltage drop, and short‑circuit analysis
• Strong coordination and communication skills
• Ability to interpret drawings and resolve site issues quickly

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• 2–7 years of experience in MEP design or site execution
• UAE experience preferred (authority approvals, local codes)
• Certifications like LEED, PMP, or FE/PE are a plus
• Driving license and Immediate Joining are complusory
