The MEP Electrical Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating electrical installation activities at project sites. The role ensures that all electrical works are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and project schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage electricians and electrical technicians on site.
- Allocate daily work assignments and monitor workforce productivity.
- Ensure electrical installations are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Coordinate with site engineers, MEP teams, subcontractors, and other trades to ensure smooth project execution.
- Monitor cable laying, conduit installation, cable tray works, panel installations, lighting systems, power distribution systems, and electrical equipment installation.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company HSE policies.
- Conduct site inspections and identify any installation issues or quality concerns.
- Maintain daily work progress reports and manpower records.
- Verify material availability and coordinate with the store and procurement teams.
- Assist in testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical systems.
- Ensure work is completed within project timelines and quality standards.
- Attend site meetings and provide updates on work progress.
Qualifications
- Diploma, ITI, Trade Certificate, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering.
- Additional technical certifications in electrical installation are an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in electrical installation works within MEP construction projects.
- At least 2–3 years of experience in a Foreman or supervisory role.
- UAE/GCC experience preferred.
