MEP Engineer / MEP Coordinator / MEP Design Engineer / MEP Site Engineer

Job Objective:
To plan, design, coordinate, and supervise all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems in construction projects—ensuring they are efficient, compliant with codes, and meet the project’s operational needs.
Key Responsibilities: Mechanical (HVAC, Fire Protection, etc.)
- Design and review HVAC systems
- Coordinate installation of chillers, ductwork, and ventilation systems
- Ensure thermal comfort and energy efficiency
Electrical (Lighting, Power, Fire Alarm)
- Prepare electrical load calculations and layouts
- Supervise installation of wiring, panels, lighting, and backup systems
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety codes
Plumbing (Water Supply, Drainage, Gas)
- Design and inspect water supply and sewage systems
- Oversee installation of plumbing fixtures, piping, and valves
- Coordinate stormwater and gas distribution systems
General Duties
- Review and interpret MEP drawings and specifications
- Ensure integration with structural and architectural elements (clash detection)
- Conduct site inspections and quality checks
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and project managers
- Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion
- Prepare and maintain documentation (BOQs, RFIs, reports)
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems, codes, and standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, NEC, IPC, etc.)
- Proficiency in design and drafting tools (AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Navisworks)
- Understanding of building services and construction methods
- Project management and coordination
- Problem-solving and attention to detail
- Communication and teamwork
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering
- Professional certifications (optional but valuable):
- LEED, PMP, Autodesk Certified, etc.
- 2–5 years of experience (entry to mid-level roles)
- 5+ years for senior or managerial MEP roles
