The MEP Engineer will be responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing the installation, testing, and commissioning of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems for building projects. The role involves coordination with architects, structural engineers, contractors, and project managers to ensure that all MEP works are executed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with relevant standards and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities1. Design & Engineering

  • Develop and review detailed MEP designs, drawings, and specifications.
  • Conduct heat load calculations, electrical load calculations, and plumbing sizing.
  • Perform technical analysis and system selection (HVAC, electrical systems, fire-fighting, water supply, drainage).
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes, standards, and safety regulations.

2. Project Coordination

  • Coordinate MEP activities with architects, civil/structural teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Attend project coordination meetings and resolve on-site technical issues.
  • Prepare coordination drawings for MEP systems to avoid clashes with other trades.

3. Execution & Site Supervision

  • Oversee installation of HVAC systems, electrical distribution, lighting, ELV systems, and plumbing networks.
  • Ensure contractor work meets approved drawings, quality standards, and timelines.
  • Conduct site inspections and generate work progress reports.
  • Perform testing and commissioning of MEP systems.

4. Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare BOQs, material submittals, method statements, technical reports, and shop drawings review.
  • Maintain documentation of all project phases and ensure version control.
  • Assist in tender preparation and evaluation.

5. Quality, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure MEP installations follow safety guidelines and project QA/QC procedures.
  • Identify and mitigate risks and discrepancies in design and execution.
  • Ensure energy-efficient and sustainable MEP solutions wherever applicable.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in MEP engineering within construction or real estate projects.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC design, electrical systems, plumbing & fire-fighting networks.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, MS Office, and engineering calculation software.
  • Strong understanding of international codes (ASHRAE, NEC, IPC, NFPA, etc.).
  • Ability to read, interpret, and review technical drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and project management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with BIM environment (Revit).
  • Certification in MEP design or project management (LEED, PMP, etc.).
  • Experience working on commercial buildings, residential towers, or industrial projects.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹364,016.29 - ₹457,446.64 per year
