Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled MEP Engineer to oversee the design, coordination, and execution of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in building and infrastructure projects. The role involves project planning, technical review, site supervision, quality assurance, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams to deliver efficient and compliant MEP solutions.

Key Responsibilities1. Design & Engineering

• Develop and review MEP designs, drawings, and specifications.
• Perform mechanical and electrical load calculations, equipment sizing, and system modeling.
• Evaluate project requirements and propose technical solutions.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant codes (ASHRAE, NFPA, NEC, IPC, local standards).

2. Project Planning & Coordination

• Coordinate MEP work with architects, civil teams, structural engineers, and subcontractors.
• Attend technical meetings and resolve coordination issues (clash detection, routing conflicts).
• Prepare and review BOQs, material specifications, and cost estimates.

3. Site Execution & Supervision

• Oversee installation of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and firefighting systems.
• Verify that work is executed according to approved drawings, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections and provide technical guidance to contractors.
• Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion of MEP activities.

4. Testing, Commissioning & Quality Control

• Conduct and supervise testing and commissioning of MEP systems.
• Verify performance of installed equipment and ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Prepare checklists, inspection reports, and handover documentation.

5. Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare daily/weekly site reports and progress updates.
• Review and maintain technical documentation, method statements, shop drawings, and material submittals.
• Assist in preparing project close-out documents and as-built drawings.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Proven experience in MEP design and site execution (2–10 years depending on role).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, HVAC software, electrical design tools, and MS Office.
• Strong understanding of MEP codes, standards, and construction processes.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in high-rise buildings, commercial complexes, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of project management tools (Primavera, MS Project).
• Certification in MEP, HVAC, or related engineering fields.

Work Environment

• Site-based, office-based, or hybrid depending on project needs.
• Collaboration with cross-functional teams and frequent site visits.

Pay: AED1,500.00 - AED2,000.00 per month
