MEP Engineer

Job description

We are seeking a qualified MEP Engineer holding bachelor's in electrical engineering with a minimum of 5 years of experience in UAE The ideal candidate will have a, DM / DEWA Approval status & strong background in PLANNING, DESIGN & SUPERVISING projects compromising mechanical, electrical, and plumbing ELV systems, with Gulf experience, preferably UAE experienced.

Key Responsibilities:

• Designing electrical projects.
• Supervising, maintaining, implementing, or improving electrical, Plumbing & HVAC, ELV systems, components, equipment products, or systems for commercial, or domestic projects.
• Performing a wide range of engineering tasks by operating computer-assisted design or engineering software and equipment.
• Conferring with customers, engineers, and others to discuss existing or potential engineering products & projects.
• Ensuring that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements by preparing electrical systems specifications, technical drawings, or topographical maps.
• Establishing construction, manufacturing, or installation standards or specifications by performing a wide range of detailed calculations.
• Ensuring compliance with specifications, codes, or customer requirements by directing or coordinating installation, manufacturing, construction, maintenance, documentation, support, or testing activities.
• Writing reports and compiling data regarding existing and potential electrical engineering projects and studies.
• Preparing specifications for purchases of electrical equipment and materials.
• Supervising or training project team members.
• Estimating material, labor, or construction costs for budget preparation.
• Maintaining electrical equipment.
• Working with a variety of technicians.
• Oversee MEP Jobs/ Projects at site.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Manage and coordinate maintenance schedules for preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Provide technical guidance to the maintenance team and ensure effective training.
• Collaborate with other departments, sub contractors to ensure efficient build projects.
• Able to build MEP inhouse team.

Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of experience in MEP supervision, specifically in professional reputable UAE Based contracting company.

• Bachelors in Electrical /HVAC Engineering.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Valid UAE driving license.
