MEP Engineer

The MEP Engineer will be responsible for Estimating , budgeting ,managing and overseeing the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) aspects of interior fit-out projects. This role requires an individual with a strong background in MEP engineering, particularly within the interior fit-out industry. The MEP Engineer will ensure that all MEP systems are designed, installed, and maintained to meet the highest standards of quality and compliance with local regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Planning and Management:
• Develop and implement MEP project plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Coordinate with project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems with the overall project design and schedule.
• Monitor and control project progress, ensuring that milestones are met on time and within budget.
• Design and Engineering:
• Prepare, review, and approve MEP designs, drawings, and specifications.
• Conduct detailed engineering analysis and calculations to ensure the feasibility and reliability of MEP systems.
• Ensure compliance with local codes, standards, and regulations related to MEP systems.
• Construction and Installation:
• Supervise and inspect the installation of MEP systems to ensure adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials and equipment.
• Resolve any technical issues or discrepancies that arise during the construction phase.
• Quality Assurance and Control:
• Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure that all MEP systems meet the required standards and specifications.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify and rectify any issues or non-compliances.
• Prepare and submit detailed reports on the status and quality of MEP installations.
• Testing and Commissioning:
• Oversee the testing and commissioning of MEP systems to ensure their proper functionality and performance.
• Prepare and review test reports, commissioning documentation, and as-built drawings.
• Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
• Provide technical support and guidance for the maintenance and troubleshooting of MEP systems.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure the longevity and efficiency of MEP systems.
• Client and Stakeholder Communication:
• Maintain effective communication with clients, stakeholders, and team members throughout the project lifecycle.
• Address client concerns and provide regular updates on project progress and any issues that may arise.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an MEP Engineer, with a focus on interior fit-out projects.
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and control systems.
• Proficient in using engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, BIM).
• Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in the UAE.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong project management and organizational abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED8,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
