Job Summary
An HVAC engineer/ supervisor is responsible for the design, installation, maintenance, and operation of climate control and ventilation systems in buildings, ensuring optimal air quality, temperature, and energy efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including chillers, air handling units (AHUs), VRF/VRV systems, split ACs, ductwork, and ventilation systems.
- Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to cooling, heating, and air circulation systems.
- Mechanical Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and repair pumps, motors, compressors, boilers, and other mechanical equipment. Inspect, troubleshoot, and fix faults in mechanical systems to ensure smooth operation. Conduct routine servicing, lubrication, and replacement of parts as needed.
- Preventive and Corrective Maintenance: Develop and follow maintenance schedules for mechanical and HVAC systems. Identify potential issues and address them proactively to avoid breakdowns. Carry out corrective actions promptly to minimize downtime.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure maintenance work complies with safety standards and regulations. Follow lockout-tag out (LOTO) and other safety procedures while servicing equipment. Identify hazards and take corrective actions to mitigate risks.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to HVAC and mechanical equipment failures or emergencies. Troubleshoot and repair urgent issues to ensure continuous operation.
- Equipment Monitoring & Optimization: Monitor the performance of HVAC systems and mechanical equipment to ensure efficiency. Optimize system settings to reduce energy consumption and improve performance.
- Inventory & Tools Management: Maintain inventory of spare parts, tools, and materials required for maintenance. Ensure all tools and equipment are in good working condition.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Mechanical Team Lead, HVAC technicians, and other maintenance personnel. Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs or installations.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Technical Knowledge of HVAC systems, VRV / VRF. chillers, boilers, pumps, motors, and compressors.
- Hands-On Troubleshooting Skills for mechanical and HVAC systems.
- Knowledge of Safety Procedures and regulations related to mechanical and HVAC maintenance.
- Attention to Detail for accurate diagnostics and maintenance work.
- Time Management for handling multiple tasks efficiently.
- Communication Skills to report issues and collaborate with teams.
- Ability to Read Blueprints and Technical Drawings.
- Documentation and Reporting:Manage project documentation and provide progress reports to stakeholders Familiarity with HVAC codes and Safety standards.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
