MEP Estimation Engineer

• Review architectural and engineering plans to determine scope and quantities of MEP systems
• Estimate material quantities, labour hours and equipment costs using estimation software and market rates/regional pricing data
• Prepare and submit competitive bids for tenders ensuring compliance with client requirements
• Collaborate with Project Manager, engineer and procurement teams to align cost estimates with project goals
• Obtain quotations, evaluate offers and define scope of work for MEP sub-contractors
• Maintain estimation records, update pricing database and provide detailed cost breakdowns.
• Prepares and estimates budget costs for construction by studying plans and specifications.
• Evaluates offers to purchase by site requirements, additions, and costing changes.
• Develops bids for construction projects.
• Schedules meetings with clients, site managers, and staff.
• Navigates and understands building codes.
• Processes paperwork and travels to building sites as required.
• Monitors construction processes.
• Stays up to date with safety codes and improvements in construction.
• Ability to navigate specifications and plans
• Proficiency in demonstrating proposals and projects
• Ability to handle multiple assignments at once
• Knowledge of the latest building codes
• Close attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• 3-5 years experience in MEP estimation (3 years UAE)
• Strong Analytical, planning and decision making skills
• 2-4 years experience in MEP drafting especially in high-rise projects
• Excellent communication and leadership qualities

Skills

• Knowledge of UAE specific standards (DEWA, ADDC, DMCC, etc) is highly valued
• Technical knowledge in HVAC, plumbing, fire fighting and electrical systems
• Proficiency in AutoCad, estimation software, Revit MEP, BIM Tools and MS Office

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED5,500.00 - AED6,500.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Dubai: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Experience:

• MEP Estimation: 5 years (Preferred)
