Job Summary
The MEP Manager leads all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) activities on a high-rise building project from planning through execution, testing, commissioning, and handover. The role ensures that MEP systems are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards, contract requirements, and UAE authority regulations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Planning & Coordination
- Lead and manage all MEP activities on site, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire-fighting and drainage.

- Coordinate with civil, architectural, structural teams and other disciplines to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems.
- Attend and contribute in coordination meetings with consultants, main contractors, and stakeholders.
2. Execution & Site Supervision
- Oversee implementation and supervision of all MEP work to meet approved designs, shop drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Monitor daily progress, identify delays, resolve technical issues, and adjust plans as needed.
- Ensure installations conform to safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance including Dubai Municipality, DEWA, Civil Defence, etc.
3. Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Review technical submittals, method statements, and material approvals.
- Conduct site inspections, enforce quality checks and safe work practices.
- Ensure compliance with local codes, standards, and international best practices.
4. Testing, Commissioning & Handover
- Lead and manage testing, commissioning and final handover for all MEP systems.
- Prepare as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and documentation packages.
- Coordinate with authorities for final approvals and inspections.
5. Procurement & Cost Control
- Coordinate procurement of MEP materials and equipment with the procurement team.
- Monitor material deliveries, subcontractor performance, and cost control.
6. Leadership & Reporting
- Lead, supervise, coach, and develop MEP engineers, supervisors, and subcontractor teams.
- Prepare and submit regular progress and technical reports to senior management.
Qualifications & Skills
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services, or related Engineering discipline.
Experience:
- Typically 8–15+ years of MEP experience in construction, with significant exposure to high-rise or large-scale projects in UAE or GCC markets.
- Proven track record in managing MEP execution, testing, commissioning, and handover.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems (HVAC, electrical HV/LV, ELV, plumbing, fire protection).
- Familiarity with UAE authority approvals, standards, and construction codes.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, Primavera, BIM tools preferred.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
