MEP Procurement Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a qualified MEP Procurement Engineer to manage all procurement activities related to Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems across our ongoing construction projects throughout the UAE. The selected candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and coordinating materials and equipment in compliance with project specifications, budgets, and delivery schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage procurement of MEP materials, equipment, and subcontract services.
• Source and evaluate vendors, prepare RFQs, conduct technical-commercial comparisons, and negotiate terms.
• Issue and manage LPOs in coordination with project teams and finance.
• Ensure materials comply with specifications, approvals, and UAE regulations.
• Maintain supplier relationships and ensure on-time delivery to project sites.
• Monitor procurement budgets, lead times, and material availability.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years of UAE experience in MEP procurement within the construction sector.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Knowledge of MEP materials, suppliers, and local approval requirements.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and documentation abilities.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple procurement packages simultaneously.
