MEP Procurement Officer

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Handle procurement of MEP materials including HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Drainage, and Fire Fighting systems.

2. Review BOQs, drawings, and specifications before initiating procurement.

3. Float RFQs to approved suppliers and subcontractors.

4. Obtain and evaluate quotations based on technical compliance and commercial terms.

5. Conduct price negotiations to achieve cost savings.

6. Prepare comparison statements and submit for management approval.

7. Coordinate with site engineers to ensure timely material delivery.

8. Track material submittals and approval status.

9. Issue Purchase Orders (POs) and follow up on delivery schedules.

10. Ensure materials comply with project specifications and authority requirements.

11. Maintain supplier database and develop new vendor relationships.

12. Monitor market price trends and availability of materials.

13. Coordinate with accounts for payment processing and invoice verification.

14. Ensure procurement aligns with project budget and timelines.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or relevant field.

2. 3–5 years UAE experience in MEP procurement within construction companies.

3. Strong knowledge of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Fighting materials.

4. Experience working with MEP suppliers in UAE market.

5. Good negotiation and communication skills.

6. Ability to read and understand MEP drawings and BOQs.

7.Experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
