MEP Project Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced MEP Project Engineer to oversee the planning, execution, and completion of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems for construction projects. The MEP Project Engineer will coordinate with internal teams, consultants, subcontractors, and clients to ensure that all MEP works are executed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the coordination, design review, and implementation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems on-site.
• Prepare and review MEP drawings, technical submittals, shop drawings, and material approvals.
• Supervise installation activities and ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards.
• Coordinate with architectural, civil, and structural teams to resolve clashes and ensure smooth integration.
• Plan, schedule, and monitor MEP activities in line with the overall project program.
• Liaise with consultants, contractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and execution of works.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure quality and safety standards are maintained.
• Monitor progress and prepare regular project reports for management.
• Assist in cost estimation, quantity take-offs, and procurement of MEP materials and equipment.
• Support in testing, commissioning, and handover of MEP systems.
• Ensure all necessary documentation and as-built drawings are maintained and submitted on time.
• Troubleshoot MEP-related issues on-site and provide timely solutions.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering.
• [3–7]+ years of experience in MEP project execution, preferably in large-scale construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems, design, installation, and commissioning.
• Familiarity with local and international MEP standards and codes (ASHRAE, NFPA, IEC, etc.).
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit (MEP), MS Project, and other engineering software.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
