MEP Quantity Surveyor

Duties and Responsibilities :

1. Prepare quantity take-offs from drawings for HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Drainage, and Fire Fighting systems.

2. Review tender documents, drawings, and BOQs for accuracy and completeness.

3. Prepare and evaluate MEP BOQs and cost estimates.

4. Monitor project costs and ensure works are within the approved budget.

5. Prepare interim payment applications and valuation of work done.

6. Evaluate subcontractor quotations and prepare comparison statements.

7. Handle subcontractor agreements, variations, and final accounts.

8. Identify and evaluate variation orders (VOs) and additional works.

9. Conduct site measurements and verification of completed works.

10. Assist in cost control and forecasting throughout the project lifecycle.

11. Coordinate with Project Engineers and Procurement team for cost-related matters.

12. Prepare monthly cost reports and budget updates.

13. Ensure contractual compliance as per project terms and conditions.

14. Assist in project closing documentation and final account settlement.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
• 3–5 years UAE experience as MEP QS in building construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing & Fire Fighting systems.
• Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings and specifications.
• Good understanding of contract conditions and variation procedures.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and cost management software.
