Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior QS Engineer to join our MEP team in Abu Dhabi - UAE. The candidate will be responsible for quantity surveying, cost estimation, contract administration, variation claims, budgeting, and project cost control for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) residential * commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare quantity take-offs, cost estimates, BOQs, and tender documents for MEP projects.
- Review contract documents, specifications, and drawings.
- Monitor project costs, budget control, and cost forecasting throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare and evaluate subcontractor quotations and payments.
- Handle variations, claims, and contractual correspondence with clients and consultants.
- Verify monthly progress billing and prepare interim payment applications.
- Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, procurement, and planning departments.
- Analyze project risks related to commercial and contractual matters.
- Maintain records of quantities, material reconciliation, and project cost reports.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, contractual obligations, and UAE regulations.
- Support final account settlement and project close-out documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in UAE MEP/contracting companies.
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems, cost control, contracts, and tendering procedures.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in high-rise, commercial, residential MEP projects.
- Strong understanding of material procurement and subcontract management.
- Good reporting and documentation skills.
- UAE driving license required
