Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Lead and manage the MEP technical team, ensuring all engineering designs and shop drawings meet project milestones and quality standards.
- Design Review & Optimization: Conduct comprehensive reviews of MEP designs, identifying value engineering opportunities to optimize costs without compromising quality.
- Technical Coordination: Oversee the seamless integration of MEP services with structural and architectural elements, resolving complex multidisciplinary clashes.
- Subcontractor Management: Evaluate and supervise MEP subcontractors and consultants, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and project timelines.
- Problem Solving: Act as the final technical authority on-site to resolve critical engineering challenges and provide innovative solutions.
- Quality & Compliance: Ensure all MEP works strictly adhere to international codes (NFPA, ASHRAE, IEEE, etc.), local authority regulations, and HSE standards.
- BIM Strategy: Oversee the BIM coordination process (LOD 300 to 500) to ensure accurate digital delivery and as-built documentation.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. A Master’s degree or PMP certification is highly desirable.
- Experience: A minimum of 10 to 15 years of experience in MEP construction, with at least 5 years in a managerial or lead role on large-scale projects (High-rise, Hospitals, Data Centers, or Infrastructure).
- Technical Mastery: Extensive knowledge of HVAC, Firefighting, Plumbing, Low Voltage (LV), and ELV systems.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Navisworks, and Project Management software (Primavera/MS Project).
- Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and communication skills. Ability to manage stakeholders and present technical data to executive boards.
- Status: Professional Engineering license/registration is a plus.
