Merchandiser

Role Purpose

A Merchandiser ensures that the shelves of a retail store are stocked with products and displays them accordingly for customers. They also track inventory levels, report any issues or shortages to management and clean up expired, damaged, and spoiled products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse sales figures, customers reactions and market trends to anticipate product needs and plan product ranges/stock.
  • Maximize customer interest and sales levels by displaying products appropriately
  • Weighing, packaging, pricing, and displaying products.
  • Work with the inventory team to replenish stock as needed.
  • Monitor stock movement and consider markdowns, promotions, price changes, clear outs etc.
  • Adhering to food safety and sanitation controls.
  • Greeting and speaking to customers, providing advice, answering questions, and accepting orders or payments.
  • Ensure that all displays comply with company policies, safety standards, and local regulations.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and backroom areas.
  • Make recommendations to the buying team on product selection and introduction of new items.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks and manage stock rotation to reduce wastage.

Qualifications:

  • High School or equivalent
  • 0-1 year of job-related experience in customer service, or in a similar role.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Ability to carry heavy items.
  • Creative eye for design and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of meat preparation techniques and cuts.
  • Strong communication, task management, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED2,500.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Abu Dhabi: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
