JOB DESCRIPTION

ROLE: Garment Merchandiser

Location: Jalandhar, Punjab (On-site)

Industry: Sportswear & Equipment

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented, and experienced Garment Merchant to manage and coordinate the end-to-end merchandising process from order inquiry to final shipment. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of garment manufacturing, production timelines, buyer communication, and product development.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Act as the key point of contact between buyers and internal teams (production, design, quality, etc.)
• Understand buyer requirements, develop samples, and ensure timely approvals.
• Prepare and manage Time and Action (TNA) calendars for each order.
• Follow up on raw material sourcing, production schedules, and quality parameters.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely procurement of trims and

fabrics.

• Monitor order status, production progress, and delivery timelines to avoid delays.
• Prepare costing sheets and negotiate prices with buyers and suppliers.
• Manage buyer communications regarding order updates, changes, and queries.
• Conduct market research to stay updated on trends, pricing, and buyer expectations.
• Maintain all merchandising records, reports, and documentation accurately.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and buyer compliance requirements.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Textile Engineering, Apparel

Manufacturing, or a related field.

• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel), and familiarity with ERP/MIS systems.
• Knowledge of fabric types, trims, washes, and garment construction.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
