Merchandiser

Job Summary:

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Garment Merchandiser to manage and coordinate all aspects of garment production, from sample development to order fulfillment. The ideal candidate will have experience in both local and export merchandising, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of the garment manufacturing process. Knowledge of SAIF Zone procedures is a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate product development, sampling, and approvals based on buyer tech packs/specs
• Handle costing, sourcing of fabrics and trims, and price negotiations with vendors and suppliers
• Create and manage Time and Action (T&A) calendars to ensure timely execution of orders
• Communicate with buyers regarding samples, order status, production progress, and approvals
• Follow up with production, QA, and logistics teams to meet quality and delivery deadlines
• Work closely with quality control to resolve any issues and ensure products meet buyer standards
• Prepare production sheets, order summaries, and shipment documents
• Maintain accurate records of orders, samples, approvals, and communications

Requirements:

• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in garment merchandising (preferably in UAE or GCC region)
• Strong understanding of garment construction, trims, and production timelines
• Experience with B2B uniforms/workwear or B2C fashion brands is preferred
• Excellent communication and coordination skills (English is mandatory; Arabic/Hindi/Urdu is a plus)
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Email communication, and basic ERP knowledge
• Familiarity with SAIF Zone rules, shipping/export documentation, and factory workflow is an advantage
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple orders simultaneously under tight deadlines

Working Conditions:

• Location: On-site in SAIF Zone, Sharjah
• Working Hours: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM, Monday to Saturday
