Merchandiser Manager

Amount of Travel Required: Frequent travel from office to merchandising locations. Outer island travel

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, Nights, Weekends and holidays as needed

Positions Supervised: Full and Part Time Merchandisers, Demonstrators, Retail Merchandising Supervisor


POSITION SUMMARY

To direct, administer and coordinate the activities and personnel of the Retail Service Department. Responsible for achieving the company’s standards of merchandising by overseeing, supervising and training of full and part time merchandisers and demonstrators. Responsible for overall support, supervision and training of the Retail Service Coordinator and Retail Merchandising Department.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Essential Functions Statement(s)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Regular attendance is required for the position
  • Ensures merchandising of displays for assigned account locations
  • Performance evaluations
  • Interview and hiring of merchandisers
  • Able to address concerns and resolve problems
  • Communication of sales ads with Merchandisers and Sales Representatives.
  • Review and approval of weekly and monthly schedules of merchandisers
  • Coordination and communications with Key Account Managers with regard to account needs.
  • Monitors product inventory of retail accounts to insure adequate supply and quality assurance
  • Participates in account resets
  • Maintain work area in a neat, orderly and sanitary manner
  • Correctly and promptly follow specified company procedures required for the appropriate handling of all Emergency Responses and Safety practices
  • Conduct periodic store checks to ensure performance level of merchandisers are at company standards
  • Outer island travel for merchandiser field, store checks and account reset

Other Functions:

  • Performs other related duties as assigned
  • Ensure positive relations with merchandisers and customers.
  • Assist with Factory tours
  • Create Incentive programs to ensure increased sales
  • Coordinate weekly meetings with Merchandising Department

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years Retail business, preferably in a management role but not required. Highly organized and analytical. Strong Oral and written skills.. Valid Hawaii state driver’s license, personal vehicle, and auto insurance required. Must be able to pass military background clearance for service to military accounts on military bases

Education: High School diploma or equivalent

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Language: Well-developed verbal and written English communication skills.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environments will be indoor and outdoor as 50% of work is driving from one account to another. Most work is done independently. Occasionally a trainee or supervisor may work with you. Uniform, Company ID and closed to shoes required at all times. Attendance at meetings and training sessions may be required.

Office conditions consist of a manufacture office in a controlled environment with moderate noise from the production area where coffee is roasted, packaged and stored.

Operates basic warehouse equipment including safely managing a hand truck, pallet jack, 6-wheeler wagon and a utility knife.
