Merchandiser - Sourcing & Product Development

We’re looking for a Merchandiser to assist with Product Sourcing from China.

Key Responsibilities

• Sourcing - Carry out product sourcing to check product prices and validate margins, HS codes. Input data into our COGS calculator to check product profitability and feedback to our research team
• Vendor Qualification - Qualify suppliers based on our templates, factory documents and other data-points
• Product Development - Liaise with suppliers to sign NDA’s, communicate our requirements and prepare prototypes / samples for approval
• Evaluation Samples - Coordinate sample delivery with our key logistics partners to ship samples from China to our overseas offices for quality review.
• Inventory Forecasting - Use the companies internal forecasting tools & templates to routinely carry out inventory forecasting. Create purchase orders based on demand needs
• Continuous Improvement - Work with our internal team members to analyze return data & customer review. Identify areas for product improvements. Consolidate bi-weekly reports & images for sharing with suppliers.
• Quality Control - Develop and maintain proper inspection criteria for each product to provide our 3rd party inspection company to follow. Update weights and dimensions in Google Sheets
• Certification - Follow-up on product certification requirements (if needed)
• Inspection Booking & Approval - Book inspections with our appointed inspection company. Review inspection reports for approval. Consolidate quality concerns & images into bi-weekly report
• Freight Bookings - Generate shipping labels from Amazon (and other channels), submit to Logistics Partners for Freight Bookings
• Shipping Documents - Work with suppliers to prepare shipping documents i.e. Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading
• Inventory Management - Control logistics of inventory between China > Our Warehouses > Amazon AWD > FBA. Weekly monitoring to make sure all sales channels are efficiently stocked
• COGS Management - Accurately manage our COGS using companies spreadsheets. Feed data into Sellerboard. Organize all invoices for submission to accounting

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years experience for product sourcing
• Basic command of Chinese will be an advantage

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs125,000.00 per month
