Summary
The Merchandising & Stock Associate is responsible for keeping the store clean, organized, properly stocked, and customer-ready while supporting daily store operations. This role helps maintain shelves and displays, assists with receiving-related tasks, supports traffic in the yard when needed, communicates inventory needs to the purchasing department, and works closely with store staff and management to keep product flow efficient and professional.
Essential Duties
- Stock shelves, racks, and displays neatly and consistently.
- Keep merchandise organized, labeled, and easy for customers to find.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and customer-ready showroom, sales floor, and stock areas.
- Monitor floor inventory and report low-stock, damaged, or misplaced items.
- Reorganize displays and product areas as needed to maintain store appearance and product flow.
- Help receive merchandise and assist with receiving paperwork from vendors.
- Communicate with the purchasing department regarding inventory needs, restocking needs, and product shortages.
- Assist traffic in the yard as needed to help support smooth movement of materials and customer flow.
- Help keep the yard tidy, organized, and presentable.
- Take out trash, collapse boxes, and help maintain overall cleanliness in store and yard areas.
- Coordinate with sales staff, yard staff, and management regarding product placement, stock levels, and store needs.
- Help keep aisles, shelves, receiving areas, stock spaces, and work areas safe, clean, and organized.
- Support general store upkeep and maintain a professional appearance throughout the day.
- Ask questions when unsure and follow company procedures for organization, accuracy, safety, and attendance.
- Stay dependable, detail-oriented, and team-oriented in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications & Physical Demands / Work Environment
- Ability to lift and move up to 100 lbs.
- Ability to work on your feet throughout the day, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting.
- Ability to keep merchandise and work areas organized and properly stocked.
- Ability to communicate clearly with store staff, yard staff, vendors, purchasing, and management.
- Must be dependable, take initiative, and be willing to learn.
- Must follow company procedures and safety standards.
- Spanish preferred, not required.
- Indoor retail/store environment with frequent movement between showroom, front store, stock areas, receiving areas, and yard support.
Compensation
- Rate of pay discussed based on experience.
