About Us
At GreenGrowth CPAs we specialize in acquiring and integrating high-quality CPA and audit practices to build a leading network of professional services firms. Our mission is to preserve each practice’s legacy, empower its leadership team, and deliver exceptional client value through strategic growth and operational excellence.
Role Overview
This is a high-velocity, hunter-first role that also requires genuine patience and people-first instincts. You’ll be running heavy outbound prospecting cold calls, targeted outreach, and persistent follow-up—to build pipeline from scratch, but you’ll also be the trusted guide for accounting firm owners who are often retirement-age, cautious, and emotionally attached to their firms. Success here means balancing grit with grace: you must be comfortable with sustained activity and measurable weekly targets, and equally skilled at deep listening, empathy, and handling sensitive conversations about legacy and succession.
Location:
Mon-Thurs onsite in Irvine, CA (remote Fridays) with occasional travel to client offices and industry events.
Key Responsibilities- Research and qualify targets thoroughly: map firm ownership, size, revenue, client mix, and trigger events that indicate retirement interest.
- Lead the first discovery conversations with empathy: listen for personal goals, family dynamics, legacy concerns, and timing, then translate those human details into actionable next steps.
Convert outreach into outcomes: advance prospects through stages (qualification discovery LOI- close) and own the documentation and handoff to M&A and integration teams.
- Maintain and update CRM daily with activity, notes, next steps, and pipeline metrics; deliver a concise weekly report of activity and deal status.
- Maintain a robust pipeline in the CRM; deliver weekly updates on outreach, meetings, and deal status.
- Initiate contact via cold calls, networking events, referrals, and industry conferences.
- Serve as a trusted listener and advisor for accounting firm owners exploring retirement and succession.
- Negotiate and draft LOIs in collaboration with the CEO, focusing on win-win terms that respect the owner’s legacy while protecting company interests.
- Represent the firm at industry events, bar associations, and referral partner meetings; sourcing leads while consistently demonstrating professionalism and empathy.
- Practice relentless follow-up and impeccable pipeline hygiene: persistent outreach without pressure, timely check-ins, and an organized cadence for long-timeline prospects.
- Meet or exceed quarterly targets for signed letters of intent and completed acquisitions.
