Job Summary

SoftMind is looking for a skilled MERN Stack Developer with 1-2 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in developing and deploying robust web applications using the MERN (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js) stack. You will work on exciting projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to creating high-performance applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain scalable, responsive, and secure web applications using the MERN stack.
• Collaborate with designers, developers, and product managers to implement and enhance features.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following industry best practices.
• Develop RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services as needed.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and performance.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues across the stack.
• Ensure the implementation of security and data protection standards.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and contribute to continuous improvement.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2+ years of professional experience in web development, specifically with the MERN stack.
• Proficiency in React.js, including hooks, state management, and component lifecycle.
• Strong knowledge of Node.js and Express.js for server-side development.
• Experience with MongoDB (or similar NoSQL databases) and database design.
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and integration.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of modern frontend technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/ES6+).
• Basic understanding of cloud services (AWS, Azure, or similar) is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with testing frameworks like Jest, Mocha, or Cypress.
• Familiarity with TypeScript.
• Knowledge of GraphQL.
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
