MernStack Developer

Are you passionate about building secure and scalable web applications in the healthcare space? AST is looking for a MERN Stack Developer to join our team and work on projects that truly make an impact.

What You’ll Do:

• Build full-stack web applications using MongoDB / PostgreSQL / MySQL, Express, React (Next.js), and Node.js.
• Design and develop REST APIs to power frontend features and integrations.
• Create responsive, user-friendly UIs with Next.js component libraries, including ShadeCN and Tailwind CSS.
• Collaborate with design, development, and management teams in meetings and brainstorming sessions.
• Actively research new solutions, suggest improvements, and contribute ideas to enhance the product.
• Manage code with Git-based repositories (GitHub, Bitbucket) and handle multiple branches efficiently.
• Use AI coding tools like Codex or Cursor to speed up development and improve code quality.
• Track and manage tasks using Jira or Trello to keep projects on schedule.
• Optional: Work with microservices, cloud deployments (AWS/Azure), Redis caching, Elasticsearch, or integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) like GPT, Claude, Sonnet, Gemini, etc.

What We’re Looking For:

• 1–2 years of full-stack development experience, ideally in healthcare projects (any domain).
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frontend/back-end frameworks.
• Experience with Next.js, component libraries, Tailwind CSS.
• Comfortable using Git for version control and collaboration.
• Experience in designing and building REST APIs.
• Exposure to AI-assisted development tools is a plus.
• EMR/EHR software experience is a bonus.
• Understanding of data security, integrity, and healthcare compliance (HIPAA, SOC2, US healthcare standards) is a plus.
• Familiarity with Jira or Trello for task and project management.
• Optional: Knowledge of microservices, cloud platforms, Redis, Elasticsearch, or AI/LLM integration.
• Active, passionate, presentable, and collaborative individual with strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
