Metal Building Design Specialist (ACT Program Experience preferred)

We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Metal Building Design Specialist with experience in ACT (Architectural, Construction, and Technology) programs to join our team. Responsibilities

• Develop detailed metal building designs using advanced CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software such as AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, MicroStation, and SolidWorks.
• Create accurate 2D schematics, construction drawings, and technical documentation to support project planning and execution.
• Utilize 3D modeling tools like SketchUp, Rhino 3D (Rhinoceros 3D), Grasshopper 3D, and 3ds Max to visualize concepts and refine design proposals.
• Incorporate ACT program experience into system design processes to optimize structural integrity, material efficiency, and aesthetic appeal.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure designs align with project scope, budget, and timeline.
• Conduct quality checks on drawings using Bluebeam or similar PDF markup tools to ensure accuracy before submission.
• Support construction teams by providing detailed drafting instructions and resolving design-related issues during project implementation.

Skills

• Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, MicroStation, and SolidWorks.
• Strong experience with SketchUp for conceptual modeling and visualization.
• Knowledge of Bluebeam for PDF markup and document management.
• Familiarity with 3ds Max or Rhino 3D for advanced visualization; Grasshopper 3D for parametric design; System design principles for structural efficiency.
• Ability to produce precise schematics and technical drawings aligned with industry standards.
• Experience in construction documentation, interior design considerations, mechanical design integration, and graphic design principles.
• Excellent drafting skills complemented by a solid understanding of system design processes across multiple disciplines including mechanical systems and interior layouts.
