Metal Fabricator - Aerospace Manufacturing

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Metal Fabricator with a strong background in sheet metal fabrication and assembly to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with aerospace-grade materials and equipment while maintaining strict quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate fabricating machines such as shears, press brakes, bending rolls, punch presses, and drill presses to cut, bend, and form sheet metal
- Shape metal over anvils, blocks, or forms using hammers and other tools
- Set up and operate soldering and welding equipment to join sheet metal parts
- Smooth seams, joints, and rough surfaces using files, grinders, or buffers
- Fabricate and assemble components using aluminum, steel, titanium, and other alloys
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications
- Install assemblies according to blueprints, sketches, and written instructions
- Inspect assemblies and finished products for conformance using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and scales
- Ensure all work meets aerospace quality standards and company requirements
- Follow all established safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
- Participate in special projects and cross-functional support as needed
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of sheet metal fabrication experience required (aerospace preferred)
- Technical or vocational training preferred
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
- Experience with fabrication equipment and hand tools
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working under aerospace standards (AS9100 or similar)
- Familiarity with precision manufacturing and tight tolerances
