Metal Recycling Sorter / Laborer

Job Overview
Looking for a self-motivated person to process and sort scrap metal material. "MUST HAVE EXCELLENT CLEAN BACKGROUND" No felonies or misdemeanors. We conduct a full background check.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, bobcat skid steer, flatbed trucks, and shear to move, load, and unload recyclable materials efficiently.
• Sort metals by type and quality, ensuring proper segregation for recycling processes.
• Conduct routine cleaning of work areas to maintain safety standards and a tidy environment.
• Assist with sanitation tasks including debris removal and waste management to uphold cleanliness standards.
• Perform heavy lifting tasks safely while handling recyclable materials or equipment parts.
• Support the loading and unloading of materials using various machinery, ensuring smooth workflow.
• Follow safety protocols diligently during all operations to prevent accidents or injuries.

Experience

• Prior experience operating heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, forklifts, or similar machinery is highly preferred, but we will train.
• Experience in manufacturing or recycling environments is a plus.
• Familiarity with sanitation procedures and waste management practices is beneficial.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks involving heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking.
• Certification in forklift operation or heavy equipment operation is advantageous but not mandatory; training can be provided for qualified candidates.
