Job Description:
The Metal Work Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all metal fabrication, installation, and finishing activities at the workshop and project sites. The role ensures that all metal works are completed on time, within quality standards, and in accordance with project specifications, safety guidelines, and company procedures.
Key Responsibilities1. Supervision & Coordination
- Supervise and lead metal fabricators, welders, and installers in workshop and site activities.
- Assign daily tasks and ensure proper manpower allocation as per project requirements.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, and other trades to ensure smooth workflow.
2. Fabrication & Installation
- Review technical drawings, fabrication details, and cutting lists.
- Ensure all fabrication work (steel, aluminum, stainless steel, MS/SS structures, railings, frames, brackets, etc.) is completed accurately.
- Monitor installation activities at site and ensure proper alignment, fitting, and finishing.
3. Quality Control
- Inspect fabricated items and installations to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
- Resolve fabrication errors, defects, or site issues promptly.
- Ensure the use of correct materials, tools, and fabrication techniques.
4. Safety & Compliance
- Enforce safety guidelines in the workshop and at project sites.
- Ensure all welding and cutting works follow safety standards (PPE, fire safety, equipment handling).
- Conduct regular toolbox talks and risk assessments.
5. Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare daily progress reports and update project teams regularly.
- Maintain records of material usage, team productivity, and job completion status.
- Raise material requisitions and coordinate with procurement when required.
6. Team Management
- Train and guide fabricators and welders to improve skills and productivity.
- Monitor attendance, discipline, and performance of the metalwork team.
- Maintain a positive and well-organized work environment.
Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma or ITI certificate in Mechanical/Metal Fabrication or related field.
- Minimum 4–6 years of experience in metal fabrication and installation (preferably in interior fit-out).
- Strong knowledge of steel, MS, SS, aluminum fabrication techniques, welding processes (MIG, TIG), and site installation procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and shop drawings.
- Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and industry standards.

- Good coordination with other departments (Joinery, Civil, MEP, etc.).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED2,300.00 - AED2,700.00 per month
