Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety of the team members assigned to your area of responsibility
  • Plan, Direct, and Coordinate implementation of quality improvement projects for the Production
Department in coordination with all departments as needed
  • Enforce the Systems adherence to 4M, 11 commitments, Kanban pulling system, Stop-Call-Wait, etc.
  • Support in establishing priorities for quality improvement projects focusing on, containment measures, root
cause analysis, and implement proper and effective countermeasures
  • Ensures good 4S+S our entire workplace
  • Leads and promote Kaizen activities
  • Performs 4 M analysis in all NCR's, customer find root causes and implement countermeasures.
  • Works with management and training department on developing training and development plans. Insures
implementation and on-time completion of training plans

Qualifications

  • Engineering Degree preferred
  • 10 years' experience in production management minimum
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the manufacturing processes
  • Good knowledge and understanding of quality systems
  • Good knowledge and experience in using quality tools
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Good communication skills English, Spanish is a Plus.
  • Able to travel (5% of the time)
  • Computer skills: Spreadsheets and Presentations.
  • Knowledge of TPS (Toyota Production System)
  • Leadership Skills with strong sense of Ownership.

  • Must be able to walk more than five miles per day."

Working Conditions

"• Must be able to work in the manufacturing floor 75% of the time
  • Able to use Protective Equipment according with the safety requirements for each area
  • Able to work in heavy traffic areas
  • Able to work in hot and humid conditions
  • Able to work in noisy areas were hearing protective equipment is required
  • Able to work with chemicals
  • Able to work with machinery
  • Able to work extra hours.
  • Able to work some weekends."
