Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate MHC-LP to join our dynamic behavioral health team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive mental health services, including psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and case management, to diverse populations across outpatient and inpatient settings. Duties

  • Conduct thorough clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to determine appropriate treatment plans.
  • Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions incorporating evidence-based modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
  • Implement crisis management techniques including de-escalation strategies and crisis intervention protocols for patients experiencing acute mental health episodes or trauma such as PTSD or grief.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop personalized treatment plans that address behavioral health needs, developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and chronic pain management.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations; document patient progress, medical terminology, and treatment outcomes using electronic health record systems.
  • Provide telehealth services where applicable, ensuring seamless patient access to mental health care remotely.
  • Engage in clinical research activities to support continuous improvement of therapeutic approaches and contribute to data collection efforts related to mental health interventions.

Qualifications

  • Ability to obtain limited permit through NYS
  • Proven experience in psychotherapy, crisis intervention, addiction counseling, and social work within outpatient or inpatient settings.
  • Experience working with children, adolescents, adults, geriatrics, and individuals with disabilities or developmental disorders such as autism.
  • Proficiency in behavioral therapy techniques including applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavioral management, and psychopharmacology principles.
  • Excellent skills in patient assessment, case management, group therapy facilitation, and crisis management strategies.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards and experience with electronic medical documentation systems.

Pay: $40.00 per hour
