Job Summary
Lead the clinical pathology and microbiology department as a consultant, overseeing diagnostic testing, providing expert guidance on complex cases, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, delivering high-quality diagnostic care to patients, and driving research to advance the field of pathology at our hospital.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality microbiology consultant care to patients in this area of medicine.
- Provide consultative service as requested.
- Supervise fellows, staff/assistant physicians, and residents.
- Participate in training and teaching of residents and fellows; participate in research activities.
- Participate in committees and other administrative functions as needed.
- Perform special procedures as privileged.
- Follow all hospital-related policies and procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Graduate from a medical school of good standing.
- Completion of required period of training in microbiology.
- American Board/MRCPCH-Irish, UK, Canadian, Australian & New Zealand/DES/CIS/ Diplome di Medico Specialist Italy / SCR Holland/Swedish Board/German Facharzt/Austrian Facharzt/CCST UK/Saudi Board/Arab Board & sub board/ Fellowship.
- Membership and/or Fellowship status in America and/or Europe or their equivalent and fulfilling the criteria for the consultant as required.
- A certificate recognized by the Saudi Commission is a must.
- DataFlow is a must.
Professional Experience
- Min. 3-4 years Post Board/Fellowship in microbiology.
- A registered member of the Saudi Board Council.
Language
- Proficiency in English; additional proficiency in Arabic may be beneficial.
