Our compliance expertise spans CMMC Level 2 and HIPAA, making us a trusted partner in regulated industries.

We are scaling fast and are looking for a driven, tech-forward IT Project Lead to own our delivery engine — the systems, processes, tools, and templates that make great work repeatable. AI fluency is not optional here: we expect this person to actively leverage tools like Claude and ChatGPT to accelerate project delivery, documentation, and operational efficiency.

Position Overview

The IT Project Lead is responsible for planning, managing, and delivering technology projects across our MSP client base. This role is the operational glue between our technical engineers, account managers, and clients. You will own project execution for Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 migrations and deployments, ConnectWise PSA/Automate workflows, Moovila project intelligence, AI-assisted operations, and internal process and template development.

At $25M in revenue and growing, LMJ operates at a pace where manual processes cannot scale. This role demands someone who actively uses AI tools — Claude, ChatGPT, and Microsoft Copilot — to draft documentation, automate repetitive workflows, accelerate client communications, and surface insights faster. This is a high-impact role for someone equally comfortable running a structured project, leveraging AI to work smarter, and building scalable systems that make the whole team more effective.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management & Delivery

  • Plan, schedule, and manage IT projects from kickoff to completion, including Microsoft 365 and Azure deployments, migrations, and configurations
  • Maintain project status, timelines, budgets, and deliverables using ConnectWise Manage and Moovila
  • Coordinate internal resources (engineers, vCIOs, help desk) and manage client-facing communications throughout project lifecycle
  • Conduct project kickoff meetings, status updates, and post-project reviews
  • Proactively identify risks, escalation triggers, and blockers — and resolve them before they impact delivery

Microsoft Azure & 365

  • Lead deployments and migrations of Microsoft 365 environments (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Intune, Entra ID)
  • Manage Azure infrastructure projects including virtual machines, networking, identity, and security configurations
  • Serve as the internal subject matter expert on M365 architecture best practices and client adoption strategies
  • Maintain licensing, tenant documentation, and configuration baselines across client environments

ConnectWise PSA & Automate

  • Administer and optimize ConnectWise Manage for project boards, ticket workflows, and service delivery tracking
  • Build and refine project templates, agreement templates, and procurement workflows in ConnectWise
  • Collaborate with the NOC and help desk teams to ensure project-to-support handoffs are clean and documented
  • Identify automation opportunities within ConnectWise Automate to reduce manual effort and improve response times

Moovila & Project Intelligence

  • Leverage Moovila's AI-powered project management capabilities to surface risk, track dependencies, and improve forecast accuracy
  • Build and maintain project templates in Moovila for repeatable service delivery (onboarding, M365 migrations, Azure deployments, etc.)
  • Use Moovila dashboards to provide leadership with real-time project portfolio visibility

AI Tools & Productivity (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot)

  • Actively use Claude, ChatGPT, and Microsoft 365 Copilot as daily productivity tools — not occasionally, but as a core part of how you work
  • Use AI to accelerate project documentation: drafting SOPs, runbooks, meeting summaries, and client-facing deliverables in a fraction of the time
  • Build AI-assisted workflows for repetitive tasks: onboarding checklists, proposal drafts, ticket summaries, and status reports
  • Identify and champion new AI use cases across the MSP team — help LMJ become an AI-forward MSP, not a follower
  • Stay current on AI tooling developments and bring recommendations for tools or integrations that improve team output
  • Understand the boundaries of AI usage in regulated environments (HIPAA, CMMC) and apply appropriate data handling practices
  • Own the development and maintenance of LMJ's project delivery playbooks, SOPs, and checklists
  • Build standardized onboarding, offboarding, and migration templates that reduce project spin-up time
  • Maintain a living library of technical documentation, runbooks, and client-specific configurations in SharePoint
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives: identify gaps, gather team feedback, and iterate on processes

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of IT project management or technical lead experience, ideally in an MSP environment
  • Demonstrated, hands-on proficiency with AI tools — Claude (Anthropic), ChatGPT (OpenAI), and/or Microsoft 365 Copilot — used regularly to improve speed and quality of work output
  • Ability to articulate specific examples of how you have used AI to solve problems, write documentation, or improve workflows
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 administration and migrations (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, Intune, Entra ID)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure (networking, virtual machines, identity, backup, and security)
  • Experience with ConnectWise Manage (PSA) — ticket management, project boards, and reporting
  • Strong documentation skills; comfortable building SOPs, runbooks, and project templates from scratch
  • Excellent client communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Organized, self-directed, and capable of managing multiple concurrent projects without dropping the ball

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Moovila or similar AI-driven project management platforms
  • Familiarity with HIPAA, CMMC Level 2, or other regulated industry compliance frameworks
  • Microsoft certifications (MS-900, MS-102, AZ-900, AZ-104 or equivalent)
  • PMP, CAPM, or CompTIA Project+ certification
  • Experience with ConnectWise Automate (RMM) and understanding of automated patching/scripting workflows
  • Background in IT sales engineering or pre-sales support in an MSP context

Pay: $109,919.84 - $132,376.58 per year
