THE ROLE

We're hiring a Mid-Level Accountant/Bookkeeper who knows the US accounting landscape inside and out. You'll own a portfolio of US-based clients, maintaining clean and accurate books on a daily and monthly basis. This is a hands-on, client-facing role — you'll be the person our clients rely on to keep their finances in order and flag anything that matters.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for a portfolio of US small business clients — categorization, reconciliation, and month-end close
• Prepare accurate financial statements: P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow on a monthly basis
• Handle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including invoice processing and follow-ups
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and third-party payment platforms (Stripe, PayPal, Square, etc.)
• Assist with US payroll processing and coordinate with payroll providers (Gusto, ADP, etc.)
• Support clients during 1099 season — tracking contractor payments and preparation assistance
• Communicate directly with US clients via email and video calls to resolve discrepancies and provide updates
• Flag anomalies, irregularities, or cash flow concerns proactively to internal leads
• Keep client records organized in cloud-based systems (QBO, Xero, Drive, etc.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 2-4 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, with a focus on US-based clients or companies
• Strong working knowledge of US GAAP basics and standard small business accounting practices
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) is required; Xero experience is a strong plus
• Familiarity with US Chart of Accounts structures, tax classifications (COGS, meals & entertainment, home office, etc.)
• Experience with US sales tax concepts, multi-state considerations, or 1099 filing is a significant advantage
• Excellent written English — you'll correspond directly with US clients regularly
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple client timelines simultaneously
• Comfortable working US business hours

• Experience in e-commerce, SaaS, or service-based US businesses
• Prior work at a US-focused outsourced accounting or bookkeeping firm
• Knowledge of US business entity types (LLC, S-Corp, C-Corp) and their accounting implications
