Mid-Level Automation Quality Assurance Analyst

Project Duration: 6 months, contract-to-hire

Summary:

As a Mid-Level Automation QA Analyst, you’ll help drive quality assurance across multiple software initiatives, ensuring reliable, high-performing applications, websites, and systems. This role blends technical expertise and business acumen. You will be working within a team of analysts, actively involved in advancing automation efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and execution of testing strategies across multiple projects and teams
• Help to develop, maintain, and refine automation processes and frameworks to ensure reliable, repeatable testing
• Analyze business and system requirements to define and validate comprehensive test coverage
• Manage and triage defects, drive resolutions, and ensure quality outcomes
• Mentor junior team members, providing guidance, feedback, and training as needed
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, and project leaders to align QA processes with business objectives
• Participate in the on-call support rotation (3-4 times per year, after onboarding as an FTE)

Required Skills

• Proven experience with automation testing
• Experience with low-code/no-code automation tools like Mabl (preferred), Playwright, or Selenium
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies including functional, regression, and integration testing
• Solid analytical and troubleshooting skills with an emphasis on quality improvement
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across teams
• 3-5 years of professional QA or software testing experience
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience

Bonus Skills

• Direct experience with Mabl
• Prior experience as an SDET or in a similar technical QA role
• Experience as a subject matter expert for automation and testing best practices
• Prior experience mentoring or leading QA team members
