Under the direction of a Design Manager, the Mid-Level Graphic Designer collaborates with a multidisciplinary team of sales, designers, fabricators, and installers on a wide range of creative projects. These projects are focused on enhancing human experiences, creating engaging graphics, and solving client challenges in thoughtful ways. This role requires a proactive, creative, and experienced individual who can independently manage design projects from concept through final output while meeting deadlines and maintaining high quality standards. In addition, this role supports the Senior Graphic Designer(s) in mentoring Junior Designers to help them grow in their roles while contributing to the continued development of the team and its capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field
• Minimum of four (4) years of print design and pre-press experience in a large format or sign environment
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
• Strong understanding of graphic communication principles, typography, and information hierarchy
• Experience with measuring and creating accurate templates for physical structures such as walls, building elevations, and vehicles
• Self-motivated with the ability to learn new processes and adapt to evolving team needs
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
• Effective communication skills with the ability to clearly present ideas, issues, and solutions to clients and team members
• Positive, dependable, and collaborative team player who builds strong working relationships
• Punctual with flexibility to work additional hours as needed

Responsibilities

• Execute and manage design projects from concept through final production, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met with guidance from senior team members as needed
• Conceptualize and produce effective, production-ready designs for print, signage, and environmental graphics
• Collaborate with Senior Designers, sales, and production teams to ensure design solutions align with client goals, budgets, and production capabilities
• Prepare accurate, press-ready files and scaled templates for fabrication, maintaining efficiency and precision in production
• Support the Senior Designer in mentoring Junior Designers by providing feedback, sharing knowledge, and assisting in their day-to-day development
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, effectively prioritizing tasks while tracking time and budget expectations
• Ensure all deliverables align with client brand standards and meet high levels of accuracy, consistency, and quality
• Troubleshoot design and production challenges, resolving issues independently when possible and escalating when appropriate
• Stay current on industry trends, tools, and technologies, applying new ideas to improve design quality and workflow efficiency

Additional experience that would be great:

• Exposure and knowledge of signage, printing, and sustainable materials and best practices.
• Experience with tactile signage, braille, and implementing universal design principles for accessibility
• Sketching/rendering skills
• Architectural and/or 3D design skills
