Mid-Level IT Technician

Position Summary

Grayson’s Data Services is seeking a skilled and customer-focused Mid-Level IT Technician to support our growing client base. This role requires a strong foundation in Microsoft 365 administration, networking fundamentals, cybersecurity best practices, and exceptional customer service skills. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver who can work independently while maintaining a high standard of professionalism and technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and support Microsoft 365 environments including Exchange Online, Entra ID (Azure AD), SharePoint Online, Teams, and Intune.
  • Provide end-user support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals.
  • Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain network infrastructure including routers, switches, wireless access points, and VPNs.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, connectivity, and security issues.
  • Implement and maintain cybersecurity best practices.
  • Monitor systems and respond to alerts generated by monitoring and management tools.
  • Document support activities, network diagrams, procedures, and client environments.
  • Participate in client onboarding, migrations, and technology deployments.
  • Maintain accurate ticket documentation and meet service level objectives.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and team members.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of professional IT support experience.
  • Strong administration experience with Microsoft 365 (Minimum 5 years).
  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPN/SASE technologies, and firewall concepts.
  • Experience with Windows 10/11 and Windows Server environments.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles including MFA, endpoint protection, phishing awareness, least-privilege access, and security best practices.
  • Security alert triage experience.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
